Acacia pycnantha
Common names: golden wattle
Acacia pycnantha (golden wattle) is a shrub (family Fabaceae) with golden yellow flowers and narrow leaves found in the San Francisco Bay area and coastal ranges of California. It is native to Southeastern Australia. It favors woodland habitats. It spreads via long-lived seeds, and is dispersed by ants, birds, wind, water and dumped garden waste.
